Because there are not the long lead-times with harvesting wind that there are with extracting conventional fuel resources, from the point of discovery to power generation, a Vestas wind power plant can be up and running in less than 12 months – producing energy and generating a return on investment much more quickly than conventional power generation solutions.

Assuming all the necessary licensing is in place, financing is in secured, and contract negotiations are finalized; turbine installation can be very quick from the order date. It takes about 30 days for the cement foundation to cure, after that Vestas can erect one turbine in one day.
