The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for construction and completion of the 11kV/33kV lines and associated low voltage networks for grid intensification under ERT III (29 Schemes) for batch 1 Umeme service territory.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits &Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011, Revised July 2014), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from The Rural Electrification Agency, ERTIII Procurement Specialist, and inspect the bidding documents during office h ours, i.e. 08:00 a.m.to 16:00 p.m. (local time), Monday to Friday excluding public holidays at the address given below.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 300,000 ($82). The method of payment will be cash paid to The REA Accounts Department and obtaining a receipt.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 18 February 2019 at 11:00am (local time).
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in form of an unconditional bank guarantee of $56,000 or the equivalent in other freely convertible currency.
