9 December 2008 – Izak du Plessis has been as the acting finance director for Eskom in place of Bongani Nqwababa who is due to leave the company at the end of December. Nqwababa will be moving to Anglo Platinum to take up the position of chief financial officer.
Eskom confirmed last week that the search for a permanent replacement was ongoing and that a selection committee had been established to oversee the process.
Du Plesssis is a chartered accountant and senior GM in Maroga’s office and has been with Eskom since 1997. Previous positions included group financial manager for transmission and GM, distribution finance.

Another appointment announced last week was for MD responsible for human resources. The incumbent, Mpho Letlape, who resigned in September, will be replaced by Elsie Pule. Pule, has been with Eskom since 1995 and is a human resources manager for the generation, primary energy and nuclear division.
