Central Africa’s largest infrastructure event opens!
iPAD Central Africa 2007 runs from the 9-12 October 2007 and this year will be the first iPAD Central Africa to be held in under a democratically elected government in the DRC.
This annual event – comprising of a conference, exhibition, Executive Insider Briefings, and a site-visit to Inga – has played a key role in opening up the DRC to South African and international businesses looking for opportunities in the energy, mining and infrastructure sectors in the DRC.
This year, a representative from the President’s office will open the event, and other speakers include the new Director General of SNEL, Yengo Massampu as well as the Minister of Energy, Salomon Banamuhere.
A two-day infrastructure exhibition will showcase a range of companies, some of whom are well established in the DRC, and others who use iPAD Central Africa as a way to pioneer this new market.
The event ends with a tour to the Inga I and II rehabiliation with SNEL. Participants fly to the site, view the maintenance works and operations and speak to the engineers on the ground.
