9 October 2012 – Ai-Tec has completed the installation of three 100 kVA generator sets for the South African Police Service. “Because of increasing electricity outages in the Mpumulanga and Limpopo regions, it was necessary to install a reliable back-up system in the Ohrigstad, Malamulele and Tshamautumbu police stations, for daily activities to continue in the event of a power failure,” Arnold Retief, business development director, Ai-Tec says.

“In response to the demand in South Africa for dependable standby power, Ai-Tec’s manufacturing and supply facility has invested in the latest energy production technology. An important feature of Ai-Tec’s generators is the specially designed acoustic enclosure that reduces sound to less than 70 dB, at a distance of seven metres from the unit, while running at full load.”

These diesel driven generators, which are manufactured from mild steel, are fitted with an automatic transfer switch and a manual bypass switch. For reliability and efficiency of each system, only branded components are used, including Lovol Perkins engines and Engga alternators.Ai-Tec’s range of generators extends from 5.0 kVA to 2,500 kVA.
