South Africa is facing a huge shortage of electricity, which is not likely to be sorted out overnight. Estimates indicate that it could be another 5 – 6 years before we are in the position of positive electricity capacity.
One of the short and medium term initiatives of Government and Eskom is to encourage as much energy saving as possible through energy efficiency and demand site management. This includes things such as using more efficient lights, streamlining production processes and encouraging energy awareness amongst your staff.
In conjunction with the National Energy Efficiency Agency and the City of Cape Town, we are inviting you to attend free workshops on energy efficiency in the industrial and commercial sector on either 20 or 21 May 2009.
What a bright idea!
You could potentially save thousands of rands a year for your company – sure this is worth your investment of an hour or two of your time?
FREE workshops will cover:
- Energy efficiency and demand side management
- Wind and solar power
- Earthing of utility distribution systems
