Gabela-Quileva tranmission line to go ahead

5 November 2007 – A 220Kv Gabela – Quileva transmission line project has been approved by the Angolan government.

The cost of the construction is estimated at approximately US$113 million, with additional technical assistance and inspection costs estimated at US$4.3 million.

The contract for the construction work has been awarded to consortium of ABB-Eltel and Engimais has been awarded the technical assistance and inspection contract.

Funding for the project will be provided by the ministry of finance.
