Future Energy East Africa: Day 2 highlights

On Day 2 of Future Energy East Africa in Kenya, Nairobi, ESI Africa editor Nicolette Pombo-van Zyl shared insight into some of the trending discussions and themes at this year’s show.

Pombo-van Zyl highlighted that grid expansion and mini-grid deployment as being East Africa’s strategic focus. Echoing what Dr Joseph Njoroge, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Energy and Petroleum said in his keynote address on Wednesday, she noted that increasing energy access across the region is a focus area that stakeholders are addressing.
