Ekurhuleni maintenance project due for end June completion

12 June 2012 – The Ekurhuleni metropolitan municipality in South Africa commissioned Ai-Tec to undertake a repair and maintenance programme at power substations and mini substations in the municipality’s areas of responsibility, including Boksburg.

“This project encompasses the repair and upgrading of electrical structures, and involves the installation of quality branded high tension breakers, contacts and switch enclosures,” says Arnold Retief, a director of Ai-Tec. “A highlight of this project was that all reticulation work on high tension cables was completed within 18 hours – an achievement the Ekurhuleni municipality was impressed with. The team was also responsible for extending, coupling and connecting all high tension cables, as well as for the repair and maintenance work on low voltage cabling.”

This project is due for completion at the end of June 2012.
