Celebrating 10 Years of the East Africa Power Convention in Kenya

For the past 10 years, EAPIC has been the regional power event for East Africa, providing a forum for all stakeholders in the power industry to meet, strategise and find solutions to meet the region’s power needs. EAPIC is the only event that provides attendees with the chance to engage with high-level decision makers in the power industry, renew and build relationships, and find solutions to the challenges facing sustainable development in the East African power sector.

As the host utility, Kenya Power and Lighting (KPLC) was this year’s recipient of the Metering International Award for its project Umeme Pamoja, which resulted in the connection to electricity grid of 120 000 new customers, with a reduction in connection fees and a commensurate increase in revenue.

Come to Nairobi in September and celebrate the 10th anniversary of this flagship East African event, which attracts over 300 participants every year. The audience includes a cross-section of African utilities, regulators, IPPs, high-level government officials, manufacturers, contractors and suppliers. Presentations will address the critical issues confronting the industry, providing new insights and solutions.
