The tenth annual East African Power Industry Convention kicks off in Nairobi, Kenya on 16 September with a site visit to the Kenya Bureau of Standards testing laboratories just outside Nairobi. The two-day conference and exhibition, to be held from 17-18 September, will be opened by the Minister of Energy, the Honourable Kiraitu Murungi, who will deliver the keynote speech. This premier power event will also feature high-level speakers such as Jasper Oduor, incoming Executive Secretary of the East African Power Pool, Pancrace Nyimbona, Energy Affairs Officer for UNECA, Patrick Nyoike, Permanent Secretary of the Kenyan Ministry of Energy, and Semegnew Bekele, Project Co-ordinator of Gilgel Gibe.
