2 July 2008 – Co-ordinator of the Honorary International Investors Council (HIIC), Baroness Lynda Chalker said the ‘epileptic power situation’ in Nigeria must be rectified if the country is to attract adequate foreign direct investments.
Speaking in Abuja, she said adequate power was “cardinal to Nigeria’s economic development. Nigeria needs to shore up the present dismal situation of power generation and supply. so much needs to be done in the area of the provision of power. It is a must for Nigeria."
