The government of Zimbabwe has received grant funding from the African Development Fund (ADF) and intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments under the contract for Engineering Supervision Consultancy Services of Alaska-Karoi (132kV) Power Transmission Rehabilitation Project.
The consultancy services include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist the project manager in managing all the project activities
- Support for the line and substation procurement and construction
- Assist the project manager in supervising the EPC contractor of the construction of the 132kV line and substation and document management
- Review and clearance of the contractor’s detailed design documents for compliance with the technical specifications of the contract document

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), invites consulting firms to indicate their interest in providing these services.
Interested firms must provide a statement of capability and experience indicating that they are qualified to perform the required services (company profile, financial status, brochures, description of similar assignments in the past five years, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff).
Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s ‘Procurement Policy and Methodology for Bank Group Funded Operations (BPM)’, dated October 2015.
