The Zanzibar Electricity Corporation has set aside funds for operating its activities in the financial year 2017-2018. It intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the contract for procurement of various high voltages materials.

The power company now invites sealed tenders from eligible and qualified national suppliers for various high voltages materials for the year 2017-2018.

Tendering will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act No. 11 of 2016.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the office of the Zanzibar Electricity Corporation, Head Office Gulioni, first floor, room No. 37, from 9:00am to 5:00pm local time Mondays to Fridays except on public holidays.

A complete set of bidding document(s) in English and additional set if any may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of TZS 150,000 ($67).

Payment should be made by cash or telegraphic transfer. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security in an acceptable form of Banker’s Cheque or Bankers guarantee in the amount of 2% of its total bid price.

Submissions

All tenders in one original plus two copies (2) properly filled in, and enclosed in a sealed plain envelope clearly marked “Tender No. ZECO/G/HT/2017-2018/05: SUPPLY OF HIGH TENSION MATERIALS must be physically submitted at Head Office Gulioni, first floor, room number 37, at or before 2:00pm, 27 December 2017.
