Zambian gov requires consultancy services for SREP project

The government of Zambia is implementing the Scaling up Renewable Energy Programme (SREP) under the Climate Investment Fund through the World Bank.

The SREP is part of the Strategic Climate Funds, which finance targeted programmes that pilot new approaches with potential for scaling up in low income countries.

SREP will involve the development of an investment plan and completed pre-feasibility studies on the three renewable energy projects packaged for possible financing for the Zambian government.

The Ministry of Energy now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services.

Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.).

Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.

Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the World Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants & duo; which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.worldbank.org.

Interested consultants may obtain further information for the project during office hours, 09:00 to 12:00 hours – 14:00 to 16:00 hours local time.


Expressions of interest must be delivered in the tender box situated at the address below by Thursday 19 October 2017 at 10:00 hours local time and should be clearly marked Expression of Interest for developing an Investment Plan for the Scaling–Up Renewable Energy Programs (SREP) in Zambia.
