Ugandan power utility invites bidders for Kawanda-Kasana Project

The Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) seeks the supply and installation of 132kV XPLE underground cable for the Kawanda-Kasana Project.

UETCL now invites sealed bids from interested bidders for assorted construction materials for Kawanda-Kasana 132kV Project.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding procedures contained in the government of Uganda’s Public Procurement & Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 and are open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

Interested bidders may obtain further information from UETCL and inspect the bidding documents at the address below from 09:00am to 16:00pm Monday to Friday.

Bid documents for Kawanda-Kasana Project

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application on their company letter head to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 ($28).

The method of payment will be cash deposited at the following bank accounts in names of Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited), at the bank Account No. Barclays 6002166559/ Standard Chartered Speke road 0105610780000. Personal cheques are not acceptable.


Bids must be delivered to the address provided on or before 11:00am on 6 September 2017. The bids must be accompanied by a bid security of UGX 4,500,000 ($1,249).
