Uganda: Rural Electrification Agency seeks provision of transformers

Uganda’s Rural Electrification Agency (REA) has received funds to be used for the acquisition of transformers and invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the supplies.

Bidding is open to interested eligible bidders and will be conducted in accordance with the open domestic bidding method contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act of 2003.

Rural Electrification Agency: tender information

Interested tenderers are encouraged to obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from 09:00am to 04:00pm, presumably during working days at the address provided below.

The bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the same address below, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 200,000 UGX ($57). The method of payment will be cash to the Rural Electrification Agency’s cash office and an official receipt issued.

Take note that there will be no pre-bid meeting for this tender; however, bid documents may be inspected at the address provided.

Submission date

All bids must be submitted no later than 11:00am on Thursday, 30th June 2016 and must be accompanied by a bid security of $5,000 or a bid securing declaration to the address below:

Rural Electrification Agency Office, Procurement and Disposal Unit, Plot 10, Windsor Loop, Kololo, House of Hope, 2nd Floor.

Bid securities or bid securing declarations must be valid until Thursday, 30th June 2016.
