OnePower Lesotho has received grant financing from the African Development Bank (AfDB) toward the cost of developing a 20MW PV power plant for supply to the Ramarothole Substation in the Mafeteng District.
It intends to apply part of the grant to contract for Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and Management (ESMP) services in support of development of the project.
The services included under this project may include but are not limited to the following:
- Comprehensive ESIA following AfDB and IFC Performance Standards
- Comprehensive ESMP following AfDB and IFC Performance Standards
- Oversight of local compliance and local subcontractor community engagement, land appraisal, acquisition and compensation activities

OnePower Lesotho now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services.
Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc.). Consultants may constitute joint-ventures to enhance their chances of qualification.
Eligibility criteria: establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Rules and Procedures for the use of Consultants May 2008 Edition, Revised July 2012, which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org
The procurement method will be based on the Consultants’ Qualifications (CQS).
