S. Africa’s municipality requires a generation unit

In South Africa, uMgungundlovu District Municipality is seeking professional service providers to supply and install a 62KVA Cumming generator at 176 Langalibalele Street, Pietermaritzburg.

Interested eligible bidders can obtain tender documents upon a non-refundable payment of ZAR150 ($10) from offices of the cashier at the address provided below. Proof of deposit is required for collection of tender documents.

Compulsory briefing meeting

A compulsory site inspection will be held on Thursday, 18 August 2016 at 10:00am, at the uMgungundlovu District Municipality, Reception, 176 Langalibalele Street, Pietermaritzburg.

Non-attendance at the compulsory briefing session will render any submission invalid.

District municipality tender: terms and conditions

The 80/20 preference points system will be applicable, with 80 points for price and 20 points for B-BBEE status level of contribution.

Bidders must submit a minimum of two written testimonials to substantiate their ability to undertake the required services.

Reference must indicate that the value of works is similar to works required in this tender document as well as that the works completed exceeded R200,000 ($14,613).

All service providers intending to submit a tender are required to be registered on the Central Supplier Database.
