In efforts to transitioning to into a low carbon economy, the government of Mauritius has established the Mauritius Renewable Energy Agency to promote renewable energy technologies and to facilitate the implementation of projects.
This move has been set up to meet a target for increasing electricity generation from renewable energy sources to 35% by 2025.
In view of the above and on behalf of the government of Mauritius, the Mauritius Research Council (MRC), an apex body to promote and co-ordinate national investment in research, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI)for the development of offshore wind farms for the Republic of Mauritius.
The MRC is looking for reputable consultancy firms with past experience in development of offshore wind farms.
The consultant(s) shall be assessed on the following criteria:

Expressions of Interest (one original hard copy and a soft copy), in English language, together with all relevant information addressed to the Executive Director, in sealed envelope and clearly marked “EOI/OWF/16-17/01 Expressions of Interest for the Development of Offshore Wind Farms for the Republic of Mauritius” should be deposited in the Tender Box or submitted/sent by registered post /Courier Service on or before the Thursday, 4 May 2017 at 15.00 hours Mauritian time (UTC/GMT+4hr) at the address mentioned below:
