Kenya Power seeks installation of transformer densification

The government of Kenya has received funds from the Agence Francaise de Developpement (French development agency) towards the scaling up of an energy access project, which will be facilitated by Kenya Power.

It is intended that part of the proceeds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for the design, supply and installation of transformer densification.

Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the works. Bids must be submitted in hard copy format only, regardless of which method was used to access them.

Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 09:00am to 16:00pm, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays.

Bids can be electronically downloaded from the Kenya Power website (www.kplc.co.ke) free of charge.

Alternatively, bidders may purchase a complete set of bidding documents upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KShs. 1,000 ($9.8).

The provisions in the instructions to bidders and in the general conditions of contract are the provisions of the Agence Francaise de Developpement’s standard bidding documents; procurement of works.

Tender submission

Bids must be delivered to the office below on or before Thursday, 13th October 2016 at 10:00am and must be accompanied by bid securities of the amounts specified in the bid data sheet.
