Ethiopia: Ethio telecom requires lightning surge arrester

In Ethiopia, the Ethio telecom invites all interested and eligible bidders for the procurement of a 15kV lightning surge arrester.

Bid documents can be obtained from Ethio telecom’s Head Office, Room No. 201 during office hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 30.00 ($1.3)

Interested bidders are expected to fulfil the requirements stated here below:

  1. Bid security;
  2. Availability of letter of authorisation to sign the bid offers;
  3. Anti-bribery pledge form;
  4. Bidders should have a valid and renewed trade license for the year;
  5. Bidders should be VAT registered;


All Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of Birr 50,000 ($2).

The bid bond shall be furnished in one of the following forms:

  1. Certified Cheque /CPO issued by a recognised domestic bank or
  2. Bond issued by and/or confirmed through a recognised/reputable domestic bank

The Bank that issues the bond as per the first option above shall unequivocally guarantee to pay the purchaser immediately upon the first written demand of payment.

The Purchaser’s written demand of payment shall not be subject to any condition whatsoever.

The bond issuing bank shall clearly incorporate the content stated under clause here above on the issued bond.

Sealed bids marked as: “Tender for the Supply of 15 kv Lightning Surge Arrester. with (RFQ NO.3588020) and be addressed to:

2nd Floor, Room No.214,

P.O. Box 1047,

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Bid proposal will be received at the Churchill Road, Head Quarter 2nd Floor, Room No.214, before or on 24 May 2017 until 17:00pm
