Egyptian electricity transmission company is calling for bidders

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company is inviting sealed bids from eligible bidders for single responsibility for the design, supply, construction, installation and testing of all components (towers, conductors, insulators, ground wire, OPGW and civil works) for north Hurgada S/S& EL-Qusair S/S Overhead Transmission Lines Interconnection to 220kV Grid.

The project is planned to be split into two:

Line 1: 220kV double circuit OHTL Safaga / El- Qusair with 105 km length

Line 2: 2*2 km, 220kV double circuit OHTL in /out connection North Hurgada to the OHTL GabalEl Zait/ South Hurgada

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank's Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011) revised 2014, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.

An amount of $500 should be paid at national bank at Egypt Nasr City Branch Cairo, Egypt, account No.11001007177.

Submissions

Bids must be delivered to the above EETC office on or before 15 May 2017, at hour 12:00 noon (Egyptian local time) in two envelopes.

Envelope A must contain all required information, and must be accompanied by a bid security in an acceptable form equal to $500.000.

Envelope B must include the schedules of quantities and prices.
