Sierra Leone: EDSA seeks provision of transformer

In West Africa, Sierra Leone’s public power entity, Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority (EDSA) has received funds as a payment from Linkokwing University for the construction of a substation.

EDSA through its mission of upgrading and expanding its existing network to meet the energy requirements of energy consumers, now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply of 315kVA transformer.

Bidding is open to all suppliers who can demonstrate the ability and capacity to supply the required goods within the stipulated time frame.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address below between 9:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Bidding documents may be purchased upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Le 500,000 ($1,268).


All bids must be accompanied by:

  • Bid security of Le 5,000,000
  • A valid business registration certificate
  • A valid NASSIT clearance certificate
  • A valid NRA Tax Clearance Certificate
  • A valid Municipal/local council business license

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11:50am on 17thAugust 2016.
