In Ethiopia, the Dire Dawa Administration City Manager Office invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the procurement of solar street lights.
Bidding will be conducted through the open national competitive bidding and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the bidding documents.
Interested bidders may obtain further information from Dire Dawa Administration City Manager Office and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 07:30am to 12:00pm (from Monday to Thursday) and 07:30am to 11:00pm (on Friday) and every afternoon on working days from 02:00pm – 05:30pm.
Qualifications requirements include:
- Relevant and renewed trade license from mandated body,
- VAT registration certificate issued by the tax authority.
- A margin of preference for goods manufactured in Ethiopia and local companies engaged in construction or consultancy services shall be applied.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee ETB 200 ($7).
The method of payment will be cash. The bidding documents will be sent by immediately handed to buyer.
Deadline for solar street lights tender
Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 09:00am on 15 December 2017.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 50,000 ($1,836) or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.
The Dire Dawa Administration City Manager Office reserves the right to reject any bid and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to bidders.
