In South Africa, uMlalazi Municipality located in the Kwazulu Natal Province seeks to appoint consultants for INEP projects (rural household electrification) in various areas within which the municipality serves.

The consultants are going to be dispatched in the following areas:

Emahusheni, Emasundwini Ward 4, in ward 15 (various subways), Emvini, Makhehle/Bonisanani.

uMlalazi Municipality tender information

Prospective bidders are requested to take note that the directives applicable in respect of B-BBEE as prescribed in the preferential procurement regulations, 2011 will apply.

These tenders will be evaluated on functionality as specified in the tender document and thereafter bidders who score the minimum required number of points will be evaluated on the above stipulated points system.

Tender documents have been made available at the Municipality Offices from 22nd August 2016 at a cost of ZAR636.00 ($45) per document.

Registration on the council’s database for the acquisition and purchase of the tender documents must be made prior to the briefing session and no tender document will be sold on the day of the briefing session.

Payments via EFT must be made before 16:00pm, the day before the briefing session and proof thereof must be submitted as confirmation of payment.

Payments may be deposited to Umlalazi Municipality as per the following banking details:

Proof of payment may be faxed to 035 474 2259 (Attention: Jaap Le Grange).

It is the responsibility of the tenderer to ensure that the database registration documents are received by the Supply Chain Management Office.

Briefing meeting and closing date

Compulsory briefing sessions will be held on Friday 26th August 2016 at 09:00am, at Premier Conference Centre Municipal Offices, Butcher Street, Eshowe.

Please note – only 15 minutes lenience will be permitted thereafter further participation will be prohibited.
