The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Ethiopian Nile Irrigation and Drainage project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the supply and installation of two standby generators for Megech-Seraba Irrigation and Drainage Scheme.
Tender information of procurement of generators
The ministry of water irrigation and electricity now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders who have relevant experience in the supply and delivery of electro-mechanical goods/equipment, and with a legal valid license for the supply and delivery of two generators for Megech-Seraba Irrigation and Drainage Scheme.
Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedures as specified in the Public Procurement Manual, 2011 and revised in December 2011 by the Public Procurement and Property Administration Agency, and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Manual.

Collection and submission
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased and collected by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address given below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 400 ($0.11). The method of payment will be cash.

Bids must be delivered to the ministry of water irrigation and electricity, Ethiopian Nile irrigation and drainage project coordination office room No 115 on or before 6th February 2017 at 14:30pm local time.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of ETB 200,000 ($55) in the form of bank guarantee as the form attached in Part I, Section IV of the bidding document or CPO.
