In North Africa, state power utility Upper Egypt Electricity Production Company (UEEPC) intends to build a Assiut Supercritical Power Plant and is seeking eligible bidders to apply.
The government of Egypt has secured a loan from the Islamic Development Bank towards the cost of the power project, which will consist of one steam generator and one 650MW steam turbine. A portion of the loan has been earmarked for payments under the contract for the supply of the power transformers.
UEEPC tender information
The Upper Egypt Electricity Production Company (UEEPC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), now invites international bidders to submit tenders for the power transformer package.
The scope of work includes, but is not limited, to design, fabricate, deliver and provide onsite technical supervision during erection, start up and commissioning for the following:
- One main transformer (bank of three single phase transformers) and one spare single phase transformer (305MVA/phase)
- One unit auxiliary transformer (42MVA)
- One station service transformer (42MVA)
- One generator circuit breaker and accessories (22.5kV, 22.7KA)
- A set of isolated phase bus including accessories (22.5kV)
The tender documents for the above package have been made available at UEEPC’s office from 20th June 2016. Bidders may receive the documents by submitting a written application (original) and two copies to the address below together with a non-refundable payment of $100 against payment receipt from;
