The Nigerian Electricity Corporation (NIGELEC) has obtained funding from the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) to finance the project extension of the distribution networks in urban areas and develop access to electricity in rural areas.

NIGELEC intends to use a portion of the funding for payments of the procurement of connection equipment as part of the Urban Distribution and Development Project Of access to electricity in rural areas.

NIGELEC: tender information

NIGELEC solicits bids under cover from eligible bidders to perform the services of two separate packages of supplies, including:

(i) Lot 1: Supplies of 20,000 prepaid electrical circuit breakers and meters

(ii) Lot 2: Supply of equipment of various connections

Eligible and interested tenderers may obtain information at the address given below and take note of the invitation to tender documents on working days from 09:00 to 17:30 Niamey.

Interested bidders may obtain the bidding documents in French by submitting a written request to the address given, against a non-refundable fee of €250 ($272).

The method of payment will be by cash payment at the NIGELEC counter or by transfer to account N ° 002511002754 in the name of NIGELEC to the Bank of Africa Niger-Niamey.

The instructions to bidders and the general and administrative clauses are those of the bidding documents for supply of the French Development Agency.

Qualification requirements:

Applicants must have an average annual turnover of at least two billion CFA francs over the last five years (turnover certified by a firm or by the tenderer’s tax authorities);

Have successfully completed at least two contracts as a supplier or member of a consortium in the last five years, with a minimum value at least equal to the amount of the offer.
