In August 2014, the government of Ghana together with the US, acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), entered into a Millennium Challenge Compact, under which MCC will provide funding to Ghana to promote economic growth.
The government of Ghana, acting through the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA or MCA entity), intends to apply a portion of the MCC funding to eligible payments under baseline survey, development of specifications and works supervision of street lighting contract.
The MCA entity now invites proposals from consulting firms to provide services referenced above. This request for proposals (RFP) is open to all eligible consultants who wish to respond.
Consultants may associate with other consultants to enhance their capacity to successfully carry out the assignment.
The consultant services, and the contract expected to be awarded, are divided into the following phases:
- Base contract of 15 weeks between January 2018 and December 2018
- Option 1 of 106 weeks between October 2018 and November 2020
A consultant will be selected under the quality and cost-based selection method, the evaluation procedure for which is described in sections of the RFP in accordance with MCC Program Procurement Guidelines, which are provided on the MCC website (www.mcc.gov/ppg).
Tender information for street lighting contract
A pre-proposal meeting will be held at Alisa Hotel, 8th Avenue Extension, North Ridge, Accra on 15 August, 2017 at 10:00am.
Attendance is strongly advised for all prospective consultants or their representatives but is not mandatory.
Prospective consultants interested in submitting a proposal should send an e-mail, giving full contact details of the consultant, to the MiDA Procurement Agent at email@example.com.
This will ensure that the consultants receive updates regarding this RFP. Before applying, interested consultants should review the terms of reference, which are in the RFP document.
The RFP will be issued on application to the MiDA Procurement Agent, Millennium Development Authority, 3rd Floor, Heritage Tower, 6th Avenue, Ridge West, Accra, Ghana.
Proposals must be delivered to the address provided avove, no later than 14 September 2017 at 15:00pm local time in Ghana.
Consultants should be aware that distance and customs formalities may require longer than expected delivery time. Please note that electronic proposals shall not be accepted.
