In South Africa, the Mbizana Municipality invites service providers to submit proposals for the development and implementation of an energy efficiency and demand side management programme.

The bidder will further be required to source funding for the implementation based on the business plan.

Mandatory documents to be submitted at Mbizana Municipality

  • A valid original Tax Clearance Certificate (Pin printout as provided by SARS);
  • Copy of company registration/founding statement/CIPC document
  • Certified BBBEE Certificate or a consolidated B-BBEE in the case of a joint venture (JV)
  • Signed JV agreement for joint venture where applicable
  • Prices quoted must be firm and must be inclusive of VAT for vat vendors
  • Certified ID copies of managing directors/0wners

Please note that no couriered, faxed, incomplete, e-mailed and late tenders will be accepted. No bidders will be considered if not registered on the Central Database/Mbizana Local Municipality database.

Bidders must submit the tender document provided by the municipality (original document)

A signed certificate by bidder and proof certifying that the bidder has no undisputed commitments for municipal services towards a municipality or other provider in respect of which payment is overdue more than 30 days.

All the certified copies of documents must not be more than three months old.

Mbizana Local Municipality does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any bid and reserves the right to accept the whole or part of the bid.

Proposed project team, their CV’s, 80/20 evaluation criteria will be used.

Tender documents have been made available from the 12th of September 2016 at a non-refundable fee of ZAR200 ($14).

Closing date

All tenders must be deposited in the tender box situated at the reception area at the the Mbizana Municipality, by no later than 12:00 on the 26th September 2016.

All tenders must be clearly marked ‘Name of the project and Reference number’.
