In the Republic of Mauritius, national power supplier Central Electricity Board (CEB), as part of its mission of preparing and implementing development schemes with the objective of promoting transmission and distribution of electricity in the country, seeks to erect low voltage underground cables.

The utility is seeking sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the supply of low voltage underground cables.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders by calling at the Registry of the CEB, from 9:00am to 15:30pm, at the address provided below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Rs 500 ($13.8) plus VAT.

The method of payment will be cash or bank cheque. The bid document can be downloaded free of charge from the CEB’s website http://ceb.intnet.mu and/or the government procurement website http://publicprocurement.govmu.org.

Please note that the CEB wishes to draw the attention of all bidders that the power company will soon be shifting to an electronic procurement platform where bidders shall be required to bid online.

Tender submissions

Bids, addressed to the Chairman Tender Committee, should either be deposited in the tender box located at the registry of the Central Electricity Board, Royal Road, Curepipe, Mauritius or sent by registered post or courier service on/or before Wednesday 21st  December 2016 by 13:30pm (local time) at latest.
