The Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) has earmarked funds in its 2017/2018 budgets for the supply and delivery of single phase meters and meter boxes for a period of 12 months.

The Chairman, Internal Procurement Committee now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders to supply and deliver the above mentioned goods.

Bidding will be conducted in accordance to international competitive bidding procedures specified in the Malawi Public Procurement Act, 2003.

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from ESCOM’s procurement division at the address given below between 08:00am to 12:00pm and 13:00pm to 16:00pm local time (Monday to Friday) except national public holidays.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MWK20,000 ($28).

The method of payment will be cash or bank certified cheque.

Submissions

Bids must be delivered to the tender box at address below on or before 25 September 2017 at 14:00 hours local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid security as specified in the bidding document. The bid security must be in form of a bank certified cheque or bank guarantee. Bid securing declaration forms will be accepted.
