Lucie Garreau-IlesLucie began working in photovoltaics in 2009 at the DuPont European Technical Centre in Geneva where she deconstructed solar panels in the PV prototyping laboratory to understand how the various materials worked together.

In 2012 Lucie started inspecting solar parks across Europe and the Middle East, checking how materials were degrading in the real-life environment.  A global library of solar panel defects and statistics was subsequently developed, whilst the laboratory developed test sequences which more accurately mimicked the defects encountered in the field.

Today Lucie continues to inspect solar parks (ground and rooftop) to grow the data set in order to perform more pointed analysis, whilst also sharing the knowledge and learnings gathered from the field with EPCs, project developers, financiers and other key stakeholders in the PV industry.
