Electricity de Djibouti has received funds from the Agence Française de Développement (the French Development Agency) towards the cost of a geothermal exploration project.

It is intended that part of the proceeds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for steel materials for drilling operations.

Electricity de Djibouti now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of the goods.

Tender information for wellhead equipment

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $200.

Payment must be made by a certified check payable to “Electricity of Djibouti” or by bank transfer to account N°00000 580 105 840 001 32 USD “Banque pour le commerce et l’Industrie Mer Rouge” (BCIMR).

The courier /shipment cost shall be paid for by the bidder.

Qualification criteria

  1. The bidder must have at least ten full systems (master valve, expansion spool and side outlet valves) installed and operating for more than five years in at least two different geothermal fields with a bottom hole temperatures in excess of three degrees Celsius;
  2. Having current Certificate for API 6A and API 6D covering the sizes supplied.
  3. Additional details are provided in the bidding documents
  4. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Agence Française de Développement’s Standard Bidding Documents: Procurement of Goods.

Submissions

Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 08:00am Djibouti time on the Wednesday 07 June 2017 and must be accompanied by a bid-securing declaration.
