Energy Development Corporation (EDCL) Limited invites sealed bids from qualified bidders to supply electrical materials for Low Voltage and Medium Voltage lines and service connections.

The tender comprises of four lots and the bidder is free to bid for one or more lots and can be awarded one or more lots:

  • Lot 1: Supply of poles;
  • Lot 2: LV and MV cables and other accessories;
  • Lot 3: Supply of transformer and accessories;
  • Lot 4: Supply of service connection materials.

Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries as defined in the guidelines.

Selected bidders may obtain further information from The Energy Development Corporation (EDCL) Limited Procurement Unit, e-mail: cmahirwe@eucl.reg.rw/ procurement@edcl.reg.rw and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 08:00 to 17:00 hours local time.

A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $50 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency deposited to the account called RECO/EARP N° 1230070 opened at BNR (National Bank of Rwanda).

Submissions

Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 10:00 hours local time on 08 January 2019.

All bids must be accompanied by a bid security:

Lot 1: $8,000

Lot 2: $17,000

Lot 3: $7,000

Lot 4: $18,000
