GreenCape has released a market intelligence report that focuses on Renewable Energy within South Africa’s Western Cape province.
The report provides a snapshot of the market, which looks at the key industry players, legislation and regulation, opportunities and challenges, key developments and achievements—“ It is aimed at investors and businesses who are currently active or interested in entering the renewable energy sector in South Africa, and the Western Cape specifically.”
In the report, the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP) is given much attention, looking at the success, failures and challenges of the programme. Rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) and small-scale embedded generation are other points of interest which are discussed.
GreenCape was established in 2010 by the Western Cape Government and the City of Cape Town in order to facilitate the growth and development of a green economy.
