Our client, a London based investor/owner of utility scale PV projects, is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Renewable Energy management professional. To be based in London, you will lead teams in taking PV projects based in East/North Africa, from preferred bidder status to commissioning.
You are the right person for this role if you have 10 years in an engineering and management capacity (energy generation preferred), and at least 4 of these years will have been executing utility scale PV projects. As the technical expert, you will be responsible for managing a team of people across a diverse spectrum (technical consultants, contractors, suppliers, investors, and debt funders), well versed in negotiating contracts with EPC and Oms.
You will also have taken the lead on brining at least 2 projects (greater than 50MW) from financial close through to commissioning, and have experience and knowhow of how project companies and project finance is structured; such as onshore/offshore tax implications/consideration, funding, CAPEX/OPEX, Construction/Bridge Loans and project REO and IRR.
Other responsibilities include:
- Compiling tender documents and tender process for EPC/O&Ms
- Utilising knowledge and experience in costing of plant equipment and civil works
- Working with debt financier/negotiated loan documents
While execution is the most important aspect of this role, past experience in a development entity that owns and operates plants will be advantageous, including being fully versed with the technical aspects of plant design, design pitfalls and efficiencies.
Salary is market related and eligibility to work in the UK is required.
