A leading supplier of energy storage technology has successfully expanded their range into the South African market and is now looking for a skilled National Sales Manager to maintain their current distributor base while expanding their market within Sub-Saharan Africa.
If you have a solid sales background within the battery or renewable energy market and are driven, able to work independently and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, then this is the role for you.
Key responsibilities will be focused around customer development and generating new business. This role will work closely with the General Manager based in Europe and will include regular travel to ensure development of the business and to meet the company’s growth targets.
If you have excellent market knowledge you will quickly drive massive value to the firm as you grow the brand in Sub-Saharan Africa.
You will be enabled through a strong international support system but will have autonomy to investigate emerging markets in the region. This is a fantastic opportunity to quickly solidify your expertise within the renewable energy and energy storage sectors.
- Com, Engineering or any relevant qualification
- Technical, marketing and or sales certificates are beneficial
- 4+ years’ experience in a technical sales role, preferably within the renewable energy sector
- 2+ years’ experience in deep cycle batteries or off-grid solutions
- Strong reporting, presenting and negotiation skills are key
- Proven sales experience with a large network is ideal
- Willingness to travel
