A multinational EPC within the renewable energy and energy infrastructure sector is seeking an intelligent Electrical Site Engineer to oversee all electrical construction work on a wind farm construction site.

The ideal candidate for this role will have an in-depth understanding of all site-based electrical procedures and requirements as you will be responsible for monitoring electrical construction, testing and commissioning activities to ensure an impeccable standard of outputs and compliance with industry regulations.

An understanding of legal requirements is essential as you will warrant drawings, specifications and installations comply with legal and safety requirements.

You will have to be a highly organised, thorough and structured individual as you will need to maintain daily logs and supplement inspection records with photographs. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a prerequisite as you will report progress and issues to the project manager.

On a day-to-day basis you will conduct a surveillance level of inspection to ensure full compliance of project requirements, therefore a keen eye for detail and quality control is non-negotiable. Job requirements

Electrical Engineering degree or similar qualification is non-negotiable

2+ years’ experience working in the renewable energy sector

Experience using MS Project or Primavera P6

Familiar with construction schedule of wind farms, substation and transmission line

Proficient English speaker

Possess the ability to meet strict deadlines

Must be willing to travel to various sites around South Africa
