Renewable energy company seeks ED supervisor in South Africa

Cape Town company that creates, builds and operates large scale renewable energy projects throughout South Africa seeks an economic development (ED) supervisor to build on and optimise ED initiatives on behalf of the company.

Education requirements

Relevant NQF Level 6 qualification

A Financial or Managerial degree is beneficial

Experience requirements

4+ years of experience in social-economic development – including reporting against obligated targets and management of programmes and projects

Previous REIPPPP experience is a must in order to apply

Previous experience in managing businesses with social investment programmes where ED and socio-ED obligations need to be met

Proven experience in leading skilled and semi-skilled teams

Good knowledge and application of relevant compliance requirements with complex contractual entities

Proven experience in managing stakeholder relationships with senior relationships in the REIPPPP industry is very beneficial

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include receiving required data from project contractors and sub-contractors when required, overall responsibility for improving business reporting to key stakeholders, travelling to project municipalities when needed, aligning ED project payment processes with the project company payment processes, creating remedial action plans as needed, and preparing the annual ED plans and budgets.

IT literate, especially with MS Office

Willing to travel
