Jordan installs world’s largest hospital solar PV system

The Abdali Medical Center in Jordan has installed a 8.2MWp solar photovoltaic (PV) system that will cover its own consumption.

The project is one of the wheeling projects installed by Philadelphia Solar.

In a company statement, the firm said that the system consists of 25,090 Philadelphia solar polycrystalline panels of 325Wp each and Philadelphia solar mounting structure solutions.

The capacity of the system is 8.2MWp, which is considered to be the largest PV system installed for a single medical centr in the world, according to the solar company.

Abdali Medical Centre is a multi-speciality hospital with the mission to provide best practice patient-centred care and promote research and education.

The medical centre is founded by the investment group behind the Clemenceau Medical Centre in Beirut, affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine International. Abdali Medical Centre benefits from the knowledge and expertise of the Middle East’s finest medical professionals.
