JinkoSolar empowers a women led solar project in Gambia

Recently, JinkoSolar delivered 501,3kW of high-efficiency modules for the biggest solar hybrid project in Gambia to empower the Medical Research Centre of the Gambia (MRGC).

The installation has been carried out by the Women-only (MBolo) Association team adding experience to their renewable energy knowledge and developing their technical skills and confidence.

The women association is not only providing its community with a sustainable and affordable source of energy, but is also empowering other women through access to income-generation activates.

The project will reduce the use of grid power as well as the back-up generators’ consumption (saving on power and fuel bills) and will pave a great step in support of the environmental objectives of the MRC by reducing the carbon footprint in Africa.

Azimut 360 was acting as the technical partner, in charge of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the system.
