In Kenya, a power system disturbance led to loss of electricity supply to some parts of Nairobi and adjacent areas on Tuesday.
Cause of system disturbance
Kenya Power engineers have identified the cause attributing to the outage to a technical hitch emanating from a transmission system.
Areas affected by the outage include parts of Nairobi, Mount Kenya, Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley and Coast regions.
“The faulty section has been isolated and efforts to restore supply have commenced beginning with Mt. Kenya and Nairobi regions,” the utility confirmed in a statement.
