The Eskom parliamentary inquiry is scheduled to commence next Tuesday and Wednesday (23 and 24 January), the chairperson of the of public enterprises, Zukiswa Rantho, confirmed on Wednesday.
The Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises announced that it would then continue its inquiry into the mismanagement of state funds in state-owned enterprises.
The Committee will receive evidence from suspended Eskom CFO, Anoj Singh, and former acting chief executive, Matshela Koko.

Political party, the Democratic Alliance (DA), has expressed that they are looking forward to the resuming of the inquiry.
In a statement released this week, the DA said: “The DA looks forward to working with our colleagues across the political spectrum to ensure that we root out the rot at all our state-owned enterprises (SOE) and ensuring good corporate governance is once again restored.”
The party also noted: “Eskom is in crisis and is currently facing major institutional disintegration, financial trouble and gross mismanagement and the situation seems to worsen on a daily basis.
“It is clear that there is still a lot of work that needs to be done to turn things around, not just at the power utility, but also at Prasa, Transnet and Denel, which have all succumbed to state capture.”
