ZESCO hereby invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of two substations and associated switching stations, transformer upgrade and transmission overhead line in four lots:
Lot 1 – Ibex to Avondale 132kV lines;
Lot 2 – Ibex 132kV substation and 11kV switching station;
Lot 3 – Lusaka West 330/132kV transformer upgrade; and
Lot 4 – Bauleni 132/11kV substation and line loop in
Evaluation of the bids will be done on lot by lot basis and the award will be to the lowest evaluated bidder in each lot.
Bidding will be conducted through international competitive bidding procedures indicated in the European Investment Bank’s guide to procurement; for projects financed by the EIB.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from ZESCO Ltd and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 08:00 to 12:30 hours and from 14:00 to 16:30 hours, respectively at the address given below.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K1,000 ($86).
The method of payment will be bank (managers) cheque issued by a recognized commercial bank acceptable to the purchaser, or direct deposit or transfer of funds into the purchaser’s bank account with evidence of such deposit as follows:
