The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) is inviting sealed bids from eligible bidders for the construction and completion of the 33kV lines and associated low voltage networks for grid intensification under ERT III (52 schemes) for three lots;
Lot 1: Central Service Territory,
Lot 2: Rwenzori Service Territory and
Lot: 3 Western Service Territory
Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and N on-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (January 2011, Revised July 2 014), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Rural Electrification Agency, ERTIII Procurement Specialist, and inspect the bidding documents during office hours, from 08:00 am to 16:00 pm (local time), Monday to Friday excluding public holidays at the address given below.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 300,000 ($79).
The method of payment will be cash paid to The REA Accounts Department.
Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 30 November 2018 at 11:00 am (local time).
All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in form of an unconditional bank guarantee as follows:
LOT 1: $22,000 or the equivalent in other freely convertible currency,
LOT 2: $32,000 or the equivalent in other freely convertible currency, and
LOT 3: $27,000 or the equivalent in other freely convertible currency.
