Société Algérienne de Gestion du Réseau de Transport de l’Electricité (GRTE) in Algeria is seeking the technical assistance of United States based firms to provide expert consulting services and to perform technical assistance.
The US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has provided a grant in the amount of $588,100 to GRTE, Algeria for the project.

GRTE in Algeria is seeking to upgrade its transmission system by implementing a substation automation system to be deployed across 20 high voltage electrical substations.
The proposed TA would involve a technical assessment of the twenty (20) substations to identify the systems, tools, equipment, and approaches necessary for upgrading and replacement with technology required to modernize GRTE’s grid operations.
This would include both identification of hardware and software for incorporation into the grid, as well as identifying short-term and long-term training needs for GRTE employees.
GRTE is soliciting technical proposals from which it will select a qualified US firm to perform the Technical Assistance
The amount for the contract has been established by a USTDA grant of $588,100. The USTDA grant of $588,100 is a fixed amount. Accordingly, cost will not be a factor in the evaluation and therefore, cost proposals should not be submitted.
