A range of companies will showcase state-of-the-art technologies and solutions at the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) pavilion hosted during Enlit Africa digital event on 8-10 June.

The Indian power sector is gaining ground in South Africa, where it aims to secure at least 10% of global exports currently dominated by European exporters by 2025.

Anil Saboo, president of IEEMA

The presence of the Indian manufacturers as exhibitors will be an opportunity to interact with various decision-makers of power utilities, consultants and contractors. This professional networking allows these innovative companies to understand the African power sector and how they can leverage the opportunity for mutual growth.

Speaking about the participation Anil Saboo, President of IEEMA, says: “India has an equal capability like Europe to cater to the requirements regarding various electrical equipment for small and medium enterprises in Africa.”

He continues: “As we understand from various multilateral funding agencies, billions of dollars have to be spent in the next two decades for creating power infrastructure in Africa.

“The IEEMA pavilion will give an opportunity to the visitors to interact and network directly with our member companies, focusing on the energy sector. We at Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) are committed to energise Africa.”
