Interview with two energy innovators and members of the Initiate Young Talent Challenge winning team from Strathmore University.
The challenge took place during the 2019 African Utility Week and POWERGEN Africa. The winning team from Strathmore University then took their innovation international, winning bronze in the Efficiency For Access Design Challenge, for their project. Kijiji is a solar-powered container with essential services for empowering for rural communities.
The global, multidisciplinary Design Challenge empowers teams of university students to help accelerate clean energy access. The competition began in September 2019, with students submitting their final projects in April 2020 and winners announced at the end of June this year.
